Republican Debate Night #9: Rick Perry and the Seven Bores

6:23 PM PT: We're at the end of the last commercial break of the debate, which is sort of a shame, because at times the commercials have been more interesting than the debate.

6:25 PM PT: Mitt Romneybot says he believes in a lot of what the tea party believes in. "Hey, I'm for the tea party!" So teabag me.

6:26 PM PT: Rick Perry makes it clear he wouldn't have accepted a debt deal with even $1 in tax hikes for every $10 spending cuts. He says he wants a balanced budget amendment.

6:28 PM PT: Williams asks if anyone on the stage wants to elaborate on their 10-to-1 ratio question. Bachmann actually attacks Reagan for having taken a 3-to-1 deal. She then babbles incoherently about how Reagan agreed to a deal that ultimately agreeing to a deal with $3 in tax hikes for every $1 in tax cuts. I think she tripped over her lines. Huntsman seem to sort of back off, by saying he doesn't believe in taking pledges.

6:30 PM PT: Romney appears to say President Obama doesn't love America. Calls him "this guy." What a schmuck.
